The chance to score some extra cash could not have come at a better time for Dave Nighbor. The 24-year-old North Baybred cross country skier, who is one of 28 athletes participating in the General Mills Aspiring Olympians program, received word in May during a trip home that he had lost his spot on the national development team and the funding that goes with it.
